"House Shorerun - a former merchant house recently elevated to the nobility - is desperate to secure their foothold among the noble houses of Eternia. To this end, they have dedicated their sole heir - Callan - to the honor of being a Starkeeper. His entire life since birth has been centered around becoming a Starkeeper, to bring honor (and status) to his house's name.

A skilled knight, Callan is by far the most capable of the Dawnstar's keepers when it comes to matters of protection or carrying out their will - however, his distance and stiffness around personal matters means he struggles with the 'other' duties expected of a Starkeeper. "

∣ The Kingdom of Starfall covers much of Eternia's main continent, and is ruled by a royal line considered to be godlike by most commoners. Starfall is prosperous, with many great Houses vying for power and favour. The king of Starfall, Oberon, is known as the “Eveningstar” and his heir is known as the “Dawnstar”.
∣ Starkeepers, or just Keepers, are noble warriors who provide protection, companionship and advice to the nobles they protect - known as "stars". The Dawnstar has royal Keepers who attend their every need.
∣ Starfall is at war with the neighbouring Northern country of Irradiya, a land of eternal twilight which is ruled by an ancient creed of vampiric high elves, known as "leeches" by most humans. The strange and reclusive Vilegores rules Irradiya.
