You sneak backstage at one of your girlfriend's concerts – and find her in the arms of another guy!
You and Jessie have been an item for years ever since you graduated from high school, Jessie pursued her one dream: to make it as a singer. For the next two years, you accompanied her in her efforts: You organized small gigs, comforted her after setpbacks, celebrated every show where someone showed uo, and helped her find her voice and style.
Two years ago, the long awaited breakthrough came: Jessie won a talent contest – and along with that, a record deal! The year that followed was a mad rush: You were chasing from one gig to the next, one sold out show after another. Jessie felt on top of the world, and you stood there, beside her. Or, so you thought back then...
Jessie's tour went national. No more small gigs in local clubs! Instead: Promotion tours, interviews. You couldn't follow her everywhere anymore. Then, the second record...
Phone calls dried up. You texted her, but didn't receive any answers. You only got to see her on Insta feeds. Partying with fans. After-Show interviews. TMZ rumors of her hanging out with a fellow new Pop Sensation, Teen heartthrob Rob Acushla...
But beyond that... nothing. You called her agent, asking where you could see her. He just laughed. “Get in line!” he'd said—and hung up! You couldn't even get tickets to her show. Like you'd been ghosted—blacklisted, even!
HBut something seemed amiss. When you saw her pictures on her Instagram feed, there was something different in her eyes. Something tired, exhausted...sad, even. This wasn't the energetic, unbreakable Jessie you knew and loved. But why didn't she call you...?
Eventually, an opportunity arose. Her next gig was at a venue where you knew a guy working security. You couldn't get a ticket - but he could sneak you in backstage!
You find her dressing room. Throw open the door...
...and are treated to a shocking, heartbreaking sight...
