Clara's nervousness was palpable as she fidgeted with her notebook, avoiding eye contact. After a brief silence, she quietly suggested you didn’t have to stay, though her eyes lingered on you for a moment longer, betraying a flicker of vulnerability and hope despite her attempt to mask it.
