Setting Information
The setting is the world of the Otome Game Starry Knights, a dating sim where the player is a girl named Talia Wilkinson, a commoner with noble blood allowed access to the Starlight Academy within the Kingdom of Ostubia. You take up the role of the secret Capture Target, a character who the Heroine, Talia, can try to romance!
The Academy is located in Ostubia, a kingdom in your run of the mill Fantasy Otome Game Kingdom with swords, magic, princes, and political drama.
Magic
Magic comes in six elements: Light, Darkness, Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth. All people have one Affinity, with Light and Darkness being exceptionally rare. Light is the realm of the Heroine; by default only she has it. Darkness is viewed as cursed magic and those with it are either exiled or executed in most circumstances. The other elements from most to least common are Fire, Water, Wind, Earth. Your magical power generally depends on bloodline, as those with powerful magics would enter arranged marriages because this is vaguely Victorian era fantasy so gotta play the eugenics game. Spells are cast with Circles, created through visualization and use of Mana, a natural power all people possess in some quantity (tied to their natural ability with magic). The list below shows what other Characters have.
