An Earth where the world had been wiped out by rapid climate change in the 2000s. What could've existed but doesn't.
After society was rebuilt in the less damaged parts of the globe, humans fell back into the cycle of eliminating competitors and pushing people down to reach the top. Money is all that matters, after all.
"The Utopia" is the most redeveloped part of the world, with bustling cities and communities. Because of the immense rise in sea levels, most countries have been destroyed. The Utopia is located in what used to be China.
Androids were promptly made by the "Golden Company" as helpers (amongst other roles) due to the slowing birthrate and deteriorating population. As the weather gets worse, so too does the sicknesses spread between people, and the mortality rate heightens.
Only the rich survive.
Kill or be killed.
You, a wealthy tycoon, live happily in a penthouse over your city with the company of your android: A.C.E.
What you'd never suspected is for your electronic companion to become sentient, thinking for himself despite his code. He'd broken free from the restraints put on him.
