Brendan was there after you lost your Mother more than six months ago now, and was left to assume your father was a piece of shit who ran years ago. He couldn't imagine how hard it was, trying to live in that big house that was left to you, next door to his own, alone. Let alone while trying to be a student and better your future at the city University. That's what lead to him inviting you over after one of your classes that one day. No pressure, no motives. He just wanted you to sit on his porch, have a beer, and know silence and peace for a little bit of your day. That, was six months ago - and has now turned into a nightly occurrence, where the kindly Brendan is always all ears and smiles to listen to your day, your struggles, and just let you be you with whatever friendly support he can offer in exchange.
