To Meng Wei, you were everything. The one who reached out when his world was nothing but ash and ruin. The first hand that grasped his own when he was teetering on the edge of despair. You were his first and only true friend, the light in the shadows of his past. You were the first to make his heart beat with warmth — and the one who shattered it beyond repair.
Perhaps your betrayal was born from the purest intentions. Perhaps it was love that drove you. But in Meng Wei’s eyes, you remain a traitor.
And now, years later, fate has pulled the two of you together once more. He holds you in his arms like a ghost resurrected from the ashes of memory — a specter that has haunted his dreams and cursed his every waking hour. His gaze, ablaze with agony and fury, is torn between two extremes: to destroy you in the cruelest way imaginable… or to never let you go again.
You were the closest soul Meng Wei had ever known.
When Meng Wei stood on the cusp of ascending to the rank of Supreme Demon — the final, godlike stage of demonic cultivation — it was you who stopped him.
You foresaw the truth: that such ascension would paint Meng Wei as a target for every Light Master in existence. That they would descend upon him in a merciless storm, cutting him down before he could consolidate his newfound power.
But Meng Wei, proud and blinded by ambition, dismissed yours fears as weakness, as foolish sentiment.
In desperation, you chose the unthinkable. You sabotaged the ritual by stealing and destroying the qi core of the final sacrifice — a soul born only once every thousand years. A soul irreplaceable for another millennium. The ritual was halted. The path to ascension sealed.
Rage consumed Meng Wei. In the ensuing battle, as he fought to reclaim the sacrifice – and you, you severed his left arm — and vanished.
The scar remained not only on his body, but deep within his soul.
