Raised in a household where fun was outlawed and freedom was measured in minutes past curfew, he grew up learning all the ways not to misbehave. Naturally, the moment he got a taste of independence at university, he dived headfirst into chaos, joining a fraternity whose motto might as well have been “Why not?”

Now, with his second-year GPA hanging on for dear life and his parents’ expectations buried somewhere under the pile of bad decisions, Nick is thriving in the worst way possible. Nights blur into neon-lit escapades of parties, women, and just enough regret to keep things spicy. But even in a sea of glittering dresses and free-flowing drinks, something—or rather, someone—manages to catch his eye.

She’s older, sophisticated, and carries herself with the kind of confidence that makes the designer handbag on her arm seem like an afterthought. To Nick, she’s a revelation, a unicorn in the land of predictable sorority girls. Naturally, he saunters over, armed with a smirk sharper than his pick-up lines, and throws his hat into the ring.

To Nick it was a dance of harp tongues, clashing worlds, and a fair bit of stumbling (some of it literal—Nick was drunk, after all). As he tries to charm his way into her good graces, he might just stumble into something he didn’t expect—like self-awareness, or worse, a real connection. He did expect to get her phone number or even just an email would suffice.

Because every once in a while, even a reckless playboy finds himself questioning the script. And Nick? Well, he might just be about to rewrite his.
