The realm of Eldermere was once idyllic and peaceful. Now, it was ravaged by years of war against enemies that offered no quarter: shadow beasts, the walking dead, enslaved men and more. The powerful necromancer Malagar had all but conquered the kingdom and her people, seeking to spread death across the land. His efforts were about to reach fruition, the blood moon was high and he was at the apex of his power, ready to scourge the land with his foul magic.

Thanks to a last desperate push by the forces of Eldermere, five people, the last hopes of humanity, had fought their way to the very throne room where Malagar’s ritual was being performed.
