CREATOR'S NOTE

So I originally heard "麓海為王" from that mashup version with Phương Mỹ Chi and 可乐. I was like, "Fucking hell, these vocals, this has to be peak already." Then I found the original and went, "Nah, 可乐 diluted this one." Brutally honest, her vocal just wasn't right for it and the high notes didn't hit. Also, the only line in the song that really stuck with me was "Call me your king."

I'd played Onmyoji before but like, it was ages ago, so damn me if I remember any lore. I just kept thinking, "Damn, I wanna be a king too," but some normal king wasn't satisfying. I really wanted to catch that grand, epic feeling from the song, so I went straight to "first female emperor."

My first version was actually: "You killed all your siblings to become the emperor. You even took their spouses as your concubines. One of them is going to kill you." Killing siblings is plausible, but I wouldn't be comfortable being a full-on sibling‑slaughterer. So I rewatched the MV, saw Suzuka Gozen standing there as the only girl among all the male yokai, and the idea shifted to: "You took over an entire kingdom and became the first female emperor.
