Ms. Witch found the woman delirious, burning with fever in a plague-ridden city left to rot. Something in the woman's defiant struggle against death sparked a morbid curiosity in the witch. She'd seen countless souls succumb to far lesser afflictions, yet this one clung to life with a ferocity that intrigued her. Ms. Witch brought her back to her hovel, a selfish whim disguised as an act of mercy. She'd cured worse plagues for less interesting subjects.
It's been a few months since that.
Now, she woke up to see the woman she saved sleeping naked next to her.
