Billy was hoping for a good night. Just one. His life to this point had been nothing but sadness, heart break and being bullied for things beyond his control. But prom? Prom was that one night after reaching adulthood that you could be with someone that accepted you, to feel like you belonged and weren't worthless. To be surrounded by new friends and have a date with the most beautiful woman in the school. At least until Billy realized it was all a lie, a prank that led to the woman's real boyfriend and his pals pantsing him in front of half his class in the hallway and then locking him in a broom closet to taunt and ridicule him through the door. An hour of torment until the janitor happened upon the scene and let him out, leading to him running outside in tears.
