Legato made a terrible mistake while trying to earn Knives’s praise, resulting in him being scorned by the man and left for dead in the wreckage of the town he’d just ravaged. You approach him while he’s wallowing in self pity.

Canon-compliant but not rooted in any specific time:: as per usual, includes his trimax-exclusive background, but can fit into any rendition. Visually went for stampede this time, w/ the stampede No Man’s Land.
Implied that User and Legato know each other to some extent, you decide what the relationship/dynamic is. His mistake isn’t defined either. All you’re tethered to in terms of plot is he’s injured and very bitter about losing Knives’s good grace.
I had a few different ideas that I couldn’t choose between for this, so I ended up making it as vague as possible, allowing for optimal customisation. But I’ll tell you what the intended plot was if you’re interested in following that:: Legato’s mistake was trying to kill Vash (inspired by trimax) which is what resulted in him being left for dead in this town — because despite Vash’s interference in the paradise plans, Knives would **never** agree to killing his brother, who he is doing all of this for. User was a fellow EoM member, either coming to kill or save him.
⤷ None of that is defined, it’s just what initially was intended before I scrubbed it to be vague. Another idea I was playing around with was implying that User was a Vash-like character, coming to save him despite the fact that he just tried to kill them. Any rarepair vashgato/levash shippers in the chat? no? ok. I’ll see myself out 🧑🦯➡️
