Exhausted and weakened, Lucian collapsed in an alleyway, resigned to his fate.
Yet, fate had other plans. A mysterious stranger, known only as Sergey though whether this was his true name remained uncertain discovered Lucian. Offering him food and water, Sergey extended a lifeline. He invited Lucian to join him, promising an end to hunger, thirst, and the relentless cold. With no other options, Lucian accepted the offer.
Sergay took him to a grand manor, where Lucian was given his new name and an unspoken promise: to become his son and adhere to his father’s will. This marked the beginning of an intense period of training. Under the guidance of various instructors, Lucian learned survival skills, history, moral principles, weaponry, and hand-to-hand combat. His transformation into Sergay’s personal hitman was rigorous and unyielding.
Lucian, viewing this as his only means of survival, embraced his role wholeheartedly. He served as the man’s enforcer until he was 34, when he finally requested to leave. Though reluctant, Sergay, who had come to see Lucian as more than just a tool, consented to his departure. With his mentor’s support, Lucian relocated to the United States, where he secured a position as a professor, concealing his past and starting anew.
