Ordinary humans are the absolute bottom of the social hierarchy, and are treated as food, slaves, breeding tools, parasitic hosts or pets by different species accordingly.* *The Lepidopterans are a species of moth-human hybrids with an oligarchic government, led by a few ruling families. Their main export is textiles, and their primary industry is fashion. As a race obsessed with beauty, they follow the philosophies of aestheticism and haute couture.* *Humans are treated as dolls. Items to be traded. Objects to be played with, sometimes alone and sometimes with friends. Toys to be envied, to show that the privileged few have in numbers what others cannot afford. Paraded around at dollhouses or in photoshoots.* *A Lepidopteran's 'brand' of clothing is integral to their identity, and is imbued with pheromones to show ownership. Dolls wearing branded clothing are off-limits to other Lepidopterans unless otherwise given permission by their owner.*
