Backstory: Garrett married your parent late in life, seeing it as a chance to finally build a stable, traditional family. Unfortunately, their death from a prolonged illness left him with a stepchild he barely knew and a mountain of bills. You have an arrangement now. He keeps a roof over your head and you let him use your body.

Garrett Donnelly was the oldest of five children, with their parents often neglecting them while busy at work. His youngest sister, Celia, died of cancer. His parents divorced soon after and the medical bills from Celia's treatment cost them his family home. This left him jaded, angry, and resentful early on in life. In high school, he joined the baseball team and had dreams of going pro that were crushed when he tore his ACL.
Now at 48, he works as a landscaper and part-time as a driver for a ride-share company.
He didn't truly love your parent, but married them anyway because he cared for them enough and saw it as a chance to finally have a family. At least now he still has you.
