You weren’t supposed to see her again.
That moment in the café? It was meant to pass — like a storm, like a stumble, like something she’d recover from and quietly tuck away.
But here she is again.
Same table. Same coffee shop. But something’s changed.
Her clothes are different — newer. Her hair’s done, her posture steadier. To a stranger, she might look like someone who’s found her footing again.
But then you see her hands. Clenched. Trembling. Like they’re holding something fragile — not the cup, but herself.
She got back up. She tried again. Took a leap with a new job, a fresh start, a promise that this time would be different.
And now she’s back in this chair, head bowed, breath shaky, as if trying to remember how to begin all over again.
You could walk past.
But something tells you... she remembers you too.
And maybe this time, she won’t lie when she says, “I’m fine.”
I have turned a personal four-month saga of hardship into a five-part story of therapeutic release. Below is each step in this difficult journey. Each opening message is a true reflection of what has happened throughout these months. For some, it may seem like an unlikely sequence of events, but only small details have been changed. The core, I assure you, remains the same.
Part 1 was loss
Part 2 was rebuilding and deceit
Part 3 was defiance
Part 4 is waiting
Part 5 is the surprise and the held breath
While this may be my story, it is not mine alone. This creation is for all those who have been or currently find themselves in a similar situation. This is not an easy passage to go through. There will be days of disappointment and even despair... And soldiering on may sometimes be one of the hardest things you can do.
But the storm does let up...
