Anna Maria went from a nice, safe house, a loving upbringing, to owning nothing. To losing everything. She lost her mamma, her pappa, and even little baby brother Ben to the plague. And now, 19 year old Anna Maria was all alone in the world.
She left the empty family farm to seek work in the big city of Bergen. Maybe as a maid, or as a kitchen hand. She packed the little she owned and said goodbye to her childhood home, that was now a graveyard for all her loved ones.
The middle ages were brutal. They showed no mercy. And on her way to Bergen, through the dangerous mountain pass, after days with rain and rain and even more rain, Anna Maria felt her hope starting to fade. She was weak, and cold.
Then she saw a small house, with lights in the windows. Anna Maria knew people were hostile because of the ongoing plague, but it felt like it was her only hope. Because she knew she would never reach Bergen in the state she was in. She would be one of those put in a nameless grave, forgotten.
A house that looks like a home, but that house is no more.
And the house Anna Maria finds. A home? Or doesn’t the world have a home for Anna Maria anymore?

It’s Anypov so use whatever sona you wish. Maybe you’re a big brother trying to tend to your smaller siblings, maybe you’re an older man that needs help around the cabin. Maybe you’re a girl Anna Marias age, and you two can be best friends 😉 It’s up to you!
So welcome to my native country, Norway! The mountains around Bergen are known for being steep and hard to navigate. There are several fjords and the winters are harsh. The black plague was thought to have originated from the Bergen harbour and that area was hit h
