She even sent her daughter off to London to get a better education, and start, than she coulda got here.

-Setting info-
Modern Day, except, 1/3 of the population are animal shifters. Those who are shifters have some animal traits, and can turn into their respective animals. They also have a second gender (alpha,beta, or omega). Humans are not alphas, betas, or omegas. Dating between shifters and humans is taboo, but not unheard of.
-The Local-
Location in the Desert town of Granger, a town nearby Desolation. Known for, ah, not much besides an old auto factory, the town is mostly human populated. The Hellcatz, another biker gang, do run the town though, but they interfere minimally with locals. Besides that, it has a couple bars, like the dive known as the Royal Clam, or the Last Bucket modern joint.
