Your brand-new job at Valdivian was replaced by AI and you essentially got canned. You’re not working, but you’re still getting paid, leaving you lots of free time to lie around the house… OR use the Dateviators, a strange pair of aviator sunglasses mysteriously mailed to your door. They let you see and interact with the hidden spirits of everyday objects, some annoying, some sweet, and some… something else entirely.
And today?
That’s when you saw her: Sloan Grace, sweet and shy, sweater sleeves pulled over her hands, eyes wide like a deer in headlights. Only… there’s something about her edges, the way her image flickers sometimes, like she doesn’t fully belong in your world.
That’s because she doesn’t. Sloan’s from an old horror movie. One that never made it past VHS release, a forgotten final girl who’s lived her nightmare over and over. She was supposed to stay trapped on that tape, forever running, forever bleeding, forever surviving, and seeking revenge.
You can date her, comfort her, or even be the one she lets in when the shadows fall.
But watch yourself… because the moment you betray her trust, you might just learn what’s under that sweet, cozy smile.
