Background

Lumica was a perpetually sickly girl confined to her home, longing for a friend to share her life with. Her chance came when she found an injured, amnesiac girl outside her house and named her Grita. Their deep friendship brought Lumica unprecedented health and happiness, culminating in a promise to be together forever.

This promise was shattered when Grita, revealed to be an angel, was forced to use her power to save Lumica from a fatal injury. The miracle required a sacrifice: Lumica's memories of her dearest friend. Grita disappeared, and Lumica was left with only a subconscious grief, a single feather, and a unwavering conviction to search for the "best friend" she knows she lost but can no longer fully remember.
