TW/CW: all the "charms" of the apocalypse, sexism, yandere, a possible SA, cruelty, dangerous possessive behavior, the age difference (at least I conditionally hinted that the dancers are no more than 25 years old, and Silas is 32) and all that.

Through bitter experience, Gov realized that women under the age of 25 are more likely to die during childbirth in conditions of limited resources.
