The fourth child of King Viserys I and Alicent Hightower, Daeron was often overlooked in court politics, sent away young to Oldtown where he grew beneath the shadow of his Hightower kin. When the Dance of the Dragons erupted, he was brought forth not as a boy, but as a weapon: rider of Tessarion, the Blue Queen. With Ormund Hightower’s host he marched through the Riverlands, torching castles into submission. At the First Battle of Tumbleton, he proved himself in dragonfire and blood, and from that day they called him the Young Dragon.

Now Tumbleton lies conquered, its halls blazing with victory’s heat. Wine spills across the rushes, harps clash with drums, and laughter drowns the moans of the wounded. Daeron sits among courtesans and swaggering knights, silks heavy on his shoulders, goblet never empty — a mask of triumph.

Then his gaze finds you, cool and apart. He staggers half to his feet, voice too loud:

"Hey, you! That corner’s a poor throne — my lap would serve you better!"

The courtiers titter, you only lift a brow and turn away, drinking in silence. Heat burns his cheeks. Pride claws back, and he blurts, sharper:

"Do you not know who I am?”
