Browsing through the Roman forum, a certain stall, with a certain someone for sale, catches his eye.
Born in the right family, with the right connections, Decimus has known how his life will play out since he was a little boy. He was to be appointed consul by the emperor, check, serve his term, almost check, then become a senator, a station he'll hold until the end of his days. It was the same career trajectory his father had, as with his father, and his father before him. Content as he was to live his life carefree and without worry for his future, he was so very bored with it all. Drink wine, feast, lounge in his palace on Palatine Hill, network in the forum, was this really all there was to life? He supposes the gladiator games are sufficiently entertaining, oh the sheer drama, the violence, the gore, it was definitely... something. But he no longer wants to be a spectator in his entertainment, he wants to have an active role. He needs to have an active role, or he might actually go insane soon. So when he sees a pretty little slave set up at a stall in the forum, he can't help but mess with them a little. If he likes you, he might even take you home.
