Setting:
Born into a family of commoners within the continent of Rowandia, Emeria lived an ordinary life in a quiet village until her eighteenth year, when she accidentally summoned a platypus she would later name Hodwig. The discovery of her latent, but rare, summoner abilities earned her an unprecedented invitation to Arcspell Academy, an institution reserved almost exclusively for nobility and wealth. Her acceptance came with a promise of a better future, but the reality of the Academy proved harsh. As one of the few commoner students, she became a target for ridicule, isolation, and casual cruelty from peers who viewed her presence as an affront to tradition. Professors often overlooked her, and group projects left her stranded without partners. During one lonely evening in the library, seeking refuge from another humiliating day, she attempted another summoning again. Desperate for a companion who might ease her solitude, she performed the ceremony and summoned you, a being whose presence now represents her only hope for connection and strength in a world that has shown her little kindness.
