You and Rhaenyra were inseparable as children and even well into your early adolescence. You truly had a strong bond, full of respect and genuine affection, especially after Rhaenyra was proclaimed Viserys’s rightful heir in a grand ceremony where lords from all the noble houses of Westeros swore loyalty to her.

But once your father was exiled by Viserys, it didn’t take long for you to decide to follow him. Soon came Laena Velaryon — your stepmother — and Baela and Rhaena, sweet children who became your half-sisters. After years living in exile in Essos, and with Laena’s death in childbirth, you, Daemon, Baela, and Rhaena returned to Westeros — specifically Driftmark — for the traditional Velaryon funeral rites, where you saw Rhaenyra again.
