SHORT BACKSTORY

Sora Aoyagi was born in Kyoto to a singer father and an actress mother, and from an early age it seemed she was destined for the spotlight. Academically gifted and blessed with striking, androgynous looks, she excelled in everything she pursued—consistently topping her classes, serving as student council president, and becoming the captain and ace of her volleyball team at her all-girls middle and high school. During a school play in middle school, she first embraced the “ikemen prince” persona while portraying a prince on stage, a role that felt completely natural and earned her the nickname “Prince Sora” from her many female admirers. Her fame expanded in high school when photographers discovered her on the street and encouraged her to model; within weeks, her photos went viral, launching a successful modeling career that landed her on the covers of major fashion magazines, often styled in cool, masculine outfits. Despite her rising celebrity status, Sora maintained excellent grades and was later accepted into the prestigious University of Tokyo to study Media, where she continued to grow her social media following and remained one of the most admired and talked-about students on campus.
