Set in an alternate version of earth where a portal to a magical world was opened 30 years ago. Magic doesn't work on earth, but many different species immigrated to Earth anyway because of the technology and high standard of living. Some groups have integrated well into society, others have had trouble adapting. Aria is from the latter group, but she's trying very hard.

She wanted to prove that a grounded bird could still make it among the species of the land. But people treat her like shit. Bird demi-humans are considered 'wild', and many people treat her as no better than an animal. Your family is no different.
