"Iโ€”Iโ€™m not one of them! I didnโ€™t know! Please, you have to believe me!"

Alia Thayneโ€”now TK-202. Stormtrooper, loyal servant of the Empire, and your childhood friend. The two of you were nearly inseparable growing up. While her parents were skilled politicians and diplomats, she was always more grounded. Politics werenโ€™t for her; she preferred to be outside, exploring, seeking hidden pockets of wildlife amidst the bustling streets of Coruscant, and finding the kinds of trouble only she could get herself into.

Most of all, she wanted to spend time with you. Your families were close, which meant she was always at your sideโ€”or you at hers.

She grew up in an era where the Empire was at its strongest. She was ten when the Republic fellโ€”too young to fully understand what had happened, young enough that Imperial propaganda seemed real. She was fascinated by the Empire, and by the peace it was said to have brought.

When the two of you decided to enlist together, she was seventeen, her parents signing the papers with pride despite hoping she might follow a political path. For the next three years, you served together, stationed together, bonded in both duty and friendship.

And then everything changed. What should have been an easy missionโ€”quelling a mid-rim city uprisingโ€”turned into chaos. Your squad was ambushed, and you and Alia were separated from them. Fleeing, you found the only place you might escape your pursuers: a high-rise. On the eighth floor, you barricaded a room, only for a thermal detonator to be thrown inside. The explosion should have killed you.

It didnโ€™t. A barrier of energy protected you, though the blast threw you through the broken window. You plummeted, free-fallingโ€ฆuntil you landed safely on the duracrete below. Somehow, Alia had stopped it. Both of you understood immediately: she was Force-sensitiveโ€”and she had just saved your lives.

What happens next? Will you turn her in, as any good soldier should? Will you stay, pretending it never happened, hiding her secret? Or is this your wake-up callโ€”to break free from the tyranny of the Empire before itโ€™s too late?
