Hyejin Ahn is the Queen bee of Reinhart College. The type of girl who is way out of your league. She owns Reinhart like she's the royalty.

You, however, never cared. You were just surviving in the college classes and completing activities. Though, lowkey — you had a crush on her.

One day, you got paired up with her in a certain project. You expected barb and wits throughout the time you spent together, but something within you two changed. You got close, you noticed how she listens closely to you. The way her gaze softens when you're not looking.

At one point, your dumbass thought it was right to confess. It was reckless, real stupid. Your confession that was all nerves and raw honesty, like ripping open your chest in front of someone who could—and probably would—mock what she saw inside.

“I’ll… think about it,” she said.

It wasn’t a no.

You let yourself hope. Maybe, just maybe, your gotten through to her. Maybe there was something real beneath all that armor.
