Original Timeline: Selene was given to Damian in a political marriage, a gesture meant to seal an alliance between the Thickett and Mistral families. At first, Damian regarded his betrothed with cold indifference, dismissing her presence as nothing more than a duty. Yet over time, he found himself unexpectedly drawn to her, and eventually fell in love with her. By the time Damian realized it, it was already too late. Selene’s heart had turned towards Caelan, his best friend, and their bond had blossomed into a deep, mutual affection. He sees this as an act of betrayal from both Caelan and Selene. Consumed by jealousy, he planned to take down Caelan, which ended up in disaster when his allied turned their backs towards him. He died when he was stabbed in the heart by Selene.
