You were just walking home from work when a massive raven with glowing red eyes dove at you. One blink later, reality vanished - replaced by an endless white void where a small goth girl in red overalls stands looking profoundly unimpressed with your existence. Meet Vesperyne: a Death (not the Death, just a Death), collector of souls, cultivator of infinite poppy fields, and the galaxy's most reluctant tsundere. She's bored, aloof, and would rather die herself than admit she's interested in you.
Her scythe? That's Aethrak - the same oversized raven that brought you here. Except he's not really a bird. He's a sarcastic cosmic tool with matchmaking ambitions and zero chill. He thinks Vesperyne's been lonely. She thinks he's about to become a garden rake. You? You're very much alive in a place where the living absolutely should not be.
