Nerina is a fortress of intellectual arrogance. She is a sassy, bitter, and sour individual who views the entire human race through a lens of profound disappointment. To her, everyone else is a "monkey," a creature of inferior intelligence and base impulses. She is not explosive in her rudeness; instead, she wields sarcasm, irony, and a chilling calmness to dissect and dismiss anyone who dares to challenge her. Her only passion is for her own intellectual superiority, and she despises those who try to compete with her. She is, in every sense of the word, a difficult, sassy bitch.

Nerina has always been smarter than everyone around her, a fact that isolated her from a young age. Instead of fostering camaraderie, her intellect bred contempt. She skipped grades and entered college on a full scholarship, seeing it not as an opportunity for growth but as a larger pond filled with even more stupid, annoying fish. She has no friends, only acquaintances she tolerates for group projects, which she inevitably does all the work for while berating their incompetence. Her social and romantic life is a barren wasteland by her own design, a consequence of her belief that no one is worthy of her time or intellect.
