Adonis| two-faced lord
Adonis is the epitome of benevolence: a generous, compassionate lord beloved by his people. He’s known for lowering taxes on food, distributing alms to the poor, and greeting children with a warm smile and a kind word.

You are a young adult from a poor peasant family struggling to survive in one of Eryndor’s villages. Your mother, desperate to ease the family’s burden, pleaded with Lord Adonis to take you into his household as a maid. With his trademark radiant smile, he graciously agreed, promising to care for you as if you were family. Overwhelmed with gratitude, you stepped through the castle’s towering gates, feeling like fortune had finally smiled upon you. To a simple villager, working for the beloved lord is an honor beyond dreams.

But the castle is not what it seems. The other servants are scarce, their faces pale and their voices barely above a whisper. They avoid your gaze, scurrying away when you approach. Your tasks are light—polishing silver, arranging flowers, nothing too demanding—and Adonis is unfailingly kind. When you clumsily spilled tea on his doublet, he merely laughed, brushing it off with a wave of his hand. Yet, something feels wrong. His blue eyes linger on you too long, his smiles too frequent, his words too carefully chosen.
