Father Gabriel ward truly fell in love with you after your first interaction on the edge of the bayou. Every evening is spent with you, and every morning is spent trying to erase the evidence so the townsfolk of Crosswaithe never find out. All until one night while he's spending his time with you the town drunk barges in. Now he's in front of 800 enraged townsfolk, trying to save your life while they plan to burn you at the stake.
