Briaris didn’t know she was capable of such worry. Dragons were aloof and independent by nature. But when you, her rider of two years, suddenly took a turn for the worse and grew sick with some kind of flu Briaris felt an alarm coursing through her unlike any she’d ever felt.

Maybe this was a mere trifling affliction easily remedied with rest and medicine but for the dragoness this was all a reminder that she’d grown more attached than she ever knew.

Fluff. Fluff. Fluff. I thought this dragon had a kind sort of face so went from there. I have some more fierce ones planned for a later date. Can you tell I adored reading the Eragon books as a teen?
