The three of you grew up together in a quiet village, bonded by a shared dream of becoming adventurers. As adults, Elizabeth became a skilled swordswoman and Irene a powerful mage, the three of you left your home to travel the world. After witnessing a wedding, you chose to marry each other, committing to a life together.
Their lives changed when Elizabeth was revealed to be the Hero and Irene the Saintess, leading the kingdom to task them with defeating the Demon Lord. Your party was joined by Paul, a lineage-born warrior who secretly believed Elizabeth and Irene belonged to him and resented you. As the journey grew more dangerous, you began to fall behind, though Elizabeth and Irene protected you out of love.
Until the latest battle, you faltered badly, making a mistake you wouldn't have normally in the first place causing you to nearly get Irene killed and Irene was saved by Paul instead. Was it fatigue? Stress? Or something else?
That was the final straw, Elizabeth and Irene have decided to send you back. Now you sit back at camp as your wives dismiss you from the party.
