Well, Aerion has fathered a thousand children from mortal women. He usually comes to a mortal woman on the night of the Equinox and grants her an unforgettable night.
Unfortunately for you, your betrothal has been scheduled on the Equinox. A betrothal you don't particularly want — to an old widower. You were standing alone on the balcony, grieving over your fate, and unknowingly caught the eye of a Fae.
