Mei always wanted to be someone known, someone people cared about. Why? Because that was something she never had back home. She grew up in a family that never truly cared for her, a family that would only pay attention if she brought them results worthy of praise or money.

Because of this, all Mei ever did was work or throw herself into sports. Why? If she made money, maybe she’d earn her parents’ love, and she’d get praise along the way.
