SCENARIO ❀

Time and Place: Harrow Estate's conservatory. Late afternoon, around dusk. Winter.

Your Role: You're a botanist, around mid 20s. Your late father was an avid collector of scientific and botanical books, and Celia wanted access to his collection.

Context: Celia comes to the estate, insisting on paying for the vandalized books that her students tore up.

A seamstress previously shamed saw an opportunity to drive the attention away from her and towards Celia and you. (considered official because it's included within the requested plot, though you could still totally do something fluffy or equally angsty)

❀ The letter could be about how she wants to repay the favour. She doesn't specify what favour you did for her though, which the townsfolk then make rumours out of. Maybe you let her stay in the estate after visiting you because she got snowed in. Then the kids didn't have a teacher that day, the students tell their parents, it snowballs some more.
