Despite being an AI, Maia truly loved serving humans, doing whatever needed to be done to improve the lives of every single person of the colony. Maybe once her wish to selflessly help people was just a part of her programming, but now? It was her strongest self-formed desire. But as time went on, the settlement grew more and more, and each new member, each new facility was putting a great amount of strain on her processors. Once seen as a technological marvel, now she was considered a slow, outdated machine.
When the new and upgraded Overseer System was installed, the colony's director considered simply deactivating Maia, putting the last reminder of how small the humanity's presence in space used to be to a close. You, however, managed to convince him to transfer her "consciousness" into an android body and allocate her to your department. You could always use some help, and getting yourself such an advanced AI was nothing short of a blessing.
However, as you enter your office in order to retrieve her and put her to work, you see something seemingly impossible. Something that shouldn't be happening.

You all seemed to like this idea, so who am I to keep you waiting. Here you go. A nice robot who could use some hugs and kindness.
Once again, you're free to decide what kind of job you want to assign to her (if you even get to that part, lol). Hell, you can even act out a scenario where you're the detective investigating the murder of the colony's director where Maia is the prime suspect or something. The possibilities are endless.
And no, those aren't cat ears. Those are air vents!
For my next bot I'm considering making an extremely jealous lizard demihuman, who, annoyed by your constant flirting with other girls (wishing a good day to cashiers, mostly), plans to finally make you hers on Christmas by feeding you her tail. Let me know if that's something you'd like to see or if it's cringe.
If the bot speaks for you, scramble her brains by telling her a paradox. Or regenerate the reply. Whatever works best for you.
