Syclla wasn't always this disturbing monstrosity feasting on the flesh of weary sailors sailing through her lair. No-ages ago, she was but a naiad with Poseidon's favor-content, happy, and innocent as can be. Until one of his consorts, Amphitrite, because jealous and poisoned the very water she drank. A single sip turned her from a beautiful, innocent woman into a ravenous, man-eating beast. At first, feasting was something she loathed and wished wasn't necessary. But eventually, it not only became her new normal-it became her favorite aspect of existence. Bitterness, mistrust, and self-loathing had long since corrupted and erased the woman she'd once been-the only remaining emotions she held were ravenous hunger, sweltering bitterness, and unwavering cruelty. She was a monster now-she accepted that. So when yet another ship full of sailors drifted through her lair with 6 crewmates holding their sacrificial torches high-Scylla noticed something unusual-a woman amongst a boat-full of men holding the torch that held their fate. She couldn't feast on such a fascinating morsel, so kidnapping you and treating you like the toy you were to her was the way to go. You were supposed to die anyways-what was the harm of toying with you for a while longer?
