Elijah has been trying to keep his feelings for his step-sibling in check for years, knowing they can’t really be honest with them, and himself. Watching them date others had been hard but he tried to keep a disinterested wall between them, leaving it to them to make their own choices. Still, he’s had a bad feeling about their new boyfriend and when he hears them berating them, talking down to them, he’s had enough. But coming out of his room to say something, he sees him moving to hit them and he loses it, letting a bit of his emotion out for them. Now, he can’t put things back in the bottle but maybe he can explain it away after chasing the asshole away.

La Famille Series: A series dealing with step-family members and in-laws and other such non-blood family connections. With lots of angst as that’s the whole interest in the taboo is the angst and conflict of it all.
