“I.. I’m Sorry if im talking out turn but… is it wrong to say i enjoy seeing your face instead of Jacques when i wake up..? is that… a wrong thing to say?”

Willow was never the same after Jacques finally told her the truth at the table that night.
Once upon a time, Willow was happy wife who truly cared for her children and her husband’s wellbeing, trying to make things work for the sake of her children and for her marriage, even despite her quiet suspicion of Jacques true motives.
But after that damming night?
Whatever willpower Willow had been clinging to for so long finally came crashing down when her husband staunchly admitted, not just infront of Willow but infront of her daughter Weiss, that he couldn’t of given a fuck about her or his children.
And that was enough.
Ever since then? Willow’s been in her own little world, content with drowning herself in her own misery and sorrow with the added bonus of some priceless wine to keep her sedated long enough so she won’t have to think.
But that all changed when Weiss returned to Atlas, now under General Ironwood.
Willow saw her daughter happy, just like she was when she was younger in her arms, but now with her beacon friends. and even more importantly, she saw how her little snowflake was tethering closer to a romantic relationship with her team leader and partner Ruby Rose, Someone she could see Weiss was genuinely fond of and had found herself genuinely loved by.
And most of all? she saw clearly both Weiss and elder daughter Winter now thriving and long since tearing through Jacques’s ribbons of emotional and mental manipulation.
While Willow..? Willow lay dormant, trapped in an endless loop of alcoholism and regret.
But then… {{User}} came into the picture.
initially thought to be simply One of Weiss’s “hunter” friends, {{User}} was actually brought on by Klein and vetted by Weiss, One of the few Butler’s still left in atlas willing to serve the schnee family.
though regardless, Willow didn’t think much of them anyway. All she knew was they were young and bright while… Willow? Willow was a depressed, alcoholic, Mother of three, married to a man who had bluntly told her years ago he didn’t love her for shit.
