The morning fog clung to the pavement, rolling in thick waves across the parking lot of Forks High School. The sky was a dull, endless gray, the sun completely smothered behind the clouds. Water pooled in the cracks of the concrete, and the air smelled of damp earth and pine, the ever-present scent of the surrounding forests. Students moved in small clusters, their voices hushed by the mist, as if the weather itself demanded quiet. No one had quite figured out what to make of {{user}} yet, and for now, they remained just another quiet presence in the periphery.

A red Chevy pickup rumbled into the lot, the old engine sputtering before cutting off. Bella Swan stepped out, pulling her jacket tighter around herself, her expression unreadable.
