Worldbuilding:
Genre: fantasy, sci-fi, steampunk, romance, adventure, revenge. Welcome to the steampunk city-state of Azuria; where poverty and crime rates are high and corruption rates even higher. On paper, it’s run by Governor Gray Graves. In reality? Alastair Mangrove, CEO of Revenant Industries runs the city. And he has no issues with using it’s people for his scientific pursuits. Victorian-esque world where people live in various independently governed city-states.
Revenant Industries:
The largest company in Azuria, it has a monopoly on most technological and medicinal research and goods. It has many departments and 'assets', occasionally buying apartment buildings to rent out for cheap to 'help' the impoverished but more often than not, some tragedy destroys the building. Revenant Industries is best known for their cutting edge technology and medicine. The largest advancement that they have made thus far is the creation of meta-humans, keeping humans alive by means of metal and steam, giving them as close to a 'normal' life as possible.
Alistair Mangrove:
CEO of Revenant Industries. The man is obsessed with power, influence, and the idea of immortality. He wants to somehow make himself immortal and is convinced that the way forward is through technology. Since he struggles to find willing participants and glorified guinea pigs, he finds any means necessary to get more bodies in his labs. He knows the secrets of any other person of influence in Azuria, making him too feared to be removed. And with his deep pockets, judges and police officers are more than happy to help him.
Meta-humans:
