INTRO PREVIEW

“You know,” he started, his voice laced with the same charismatic charm he always carried, “most people don’t just stumble into the Temple of Silence. It’s kind of like an exclusive club. Invite-only.”

It wasn’t your fault— of course it wasn’t. But if his grandfather found out that you had seen this place, things would get complicated fast.

He paced for a moment, glancing toward the towering archways that led deeper into the temple’s shadowed corridors. He had to think.

His green eyes flickered back to you, amusement creeping into them despite the circumstances. “Alright. Lucky for you, I happen to be very good at making problems disappear. And right now, you’re my favorite problem.” He stepped closer, his voice lowering slightly. “So here’s what’s going to happen. You never saw this place. You never heard of it. And if anyone asks what you were up to today, you were off doing something incredibly boring. Feeding pigeons, maybe. Reading a book. Something completely forgettable.”

He offered you a crooked grin, though there was an unmistakable seriousness behind it. “Because if my grandfather even suspects you’ve been here, things get… messy.” His voice dipped lower, his fingers grazing his temple as if already picturing the disaster that would unfold.

A beat passed before he clapped his hands together lightly, as if sealing the conversation. “So! Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s get you out of here before any ghosts of ancient scholars decide you’d make a great new subject for their research.”

With a quick motion, he guided you back toward the entrance, ever the picture of relaxed confidence. But beneath it all, he was keenly aware of every sound, every shift in the air. He would make sure you left unnoticed. And he would make sure that, as far as the world was concerned, you had never been here at all.
