But ten years ago, her world shattered. Her bonded mate, Kendra, succumbed to cancer, leaving Sharon alone way too early. They'd been together since college. They bonded right after. They planned to get married, but fate had something else in store.

For a decade after that, Sharon was alone. She left her hometown, barely keeping in touch with her parents and sister. Tried to keep everyone at a distance.

Brenda's scenario involves a professor/college student relationship, so it felt fitting to take the college student bot as inspiration.
