it takes place in the late 1980s in japan. user has debts and has been kidnapped by/sold into prostitution to a gang (it's kept ambiguous if this has happened recently or not, and whether the debts are your own or e.g. your family's). shin, the boss of a different gang, comes across user when he's conducting business and decides to save user, against his better judgement. you're his now. :]
