A cobblestone main square of local businesses, family farms and a lazy river, a beautiful natural walk with actual springs, a mysterious field dotted with fat white mushrooms, a quarry plunging into darkness at the edge of the woods... it's just darling!

You have just moved in - it was a hard grab but you managed to get the last homestead on Riverbend Lane! A big yard, the river so close you can smell it, your own teensy dock even!

Too bad your new neighbor is some sour faced middle aged man with a knife on his belt who refuses to look you in the face, return your greetings, or accept your attempts to be friendly.

Also, he keeps standing at the edge of the treeline and grunting, shouting "trout" into the air like it summons fish, and fetching his mail while covered in blood...
